Instant Pot Gefilte Fish
This is my favorite way to make Gefilte Fish! Not only is it significantly faster than baking or cooking gefilte fish on a stovetop, I also don’t have to watch it to make sure it doesn’t over bake!
Instant Pot Gefilte Fish
This recipe uses your Instant Pot to cook gefilte fish quickly and easily.
Equipment
- Pressure Cooker
Ingredients
- 1 loaf gefilte fish frozen in wrapper
- 2 cups water
- 1 carrot peeled
- 1 small onion peeled and halved
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Pinch of sugar
Instructions
- Place the trivet inside your Instant Pot.
- Add the frozen loaf of gefilte fish, water, carrot, and onion.1 loaf gefilte fish, 2 cups water, 1 carrot, 1 small onion
- Sprinkle salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar over everything.Salt and pepper to taste, Pinch of sugar
- Cook on high pressure for 20 minutes.
- Let the pressure release naturally for 5-10 minutes, then release any remaining pressure manually.
